Edith Woodward (neé Purkess), 87, of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Niverville Personal Care Home.

A private service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, May 11 at Eternal Grace Funerals. If you wish to attend, please contact Grant Woodward at (204) 479-4851.

Edith was born January 28, 1932 in Pratt, Manitoba. She was married for 62 years to her forever love, Robert.

She devoted many years to raising not just her own children, but countless others as well. Edith loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed her garden as well as her crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her five children Brian (Shelley), Gary, Audrey (Stefan), Ronald and Grant (Lorena); seven grandchildren Lance (Cindy), Nathan (Tyner), Breanna, Thor, Robert, Ashley and Brandon; 2 great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Peyton, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents Mary and Frederick.
