It is with sad and heavy hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Emma Barcier on March 26, 2019 with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Emma was born January 22, 1939 in Selkirk, MB to Elmer and Emma Sabiston. She married her love, Carson Barcier in July of 1959. After being stationed in several military bases in Canada with a three year stint in Germany, they eventually settled in Bonville, ON. Emma was a dedicated homemaker when her boys were young and then drove a school bus in her later years. She loved knitting, crochet, woodworking, Bingo and watching her Winnipeg Jets, she was also very proud of her family. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Emma will be sorely missed.
Emma is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Emma (Olson) Sabiston, her husband, Carson Barcier, sisters Mae Barnett and Verna Antonsen and brother Franklin Sabiston.
She is survived by her three sons, Chip (Cheryl), Garry and Dwaine (Annette), her seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, brother Edwin Sabiston, sisters Pearl Davis, Shirley (Ron) Stenabaugh and twin sister Ethel Park as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank everyone who kept Emma in their prayers and for their kindness and good wishes.
