James Dewar Eischen of Little Grand Rapids, Manitoba passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. He is survived by his parents Tom and Sally Eischen, his spouse Irene Baptiste, his children Chavez, Jaylene, Jamey and Rihanna; his brothers Tommy and Cy; his sisters Berni, Theresa and Leanne, along with many nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his older brother Eugene, and infant son Jamey Marcus Duck. James was a graduate of Warren Collegiate and was the manager of the Little Grand Rapids water treatment plant for many years. He was a dedicated worker, committed to keeping the community’s water supply safe and clean. James was always a help to his parents and family. He was always the person we all turned to when we needed something fixed. He was good at taking things apart and building it back to new. James had a good sense of humor, was a talented artist, loved taking pictures, and loved fishing. He is loved and will be greatly missed.Wake service will be held on Tuesday September 3,2019 from 7p.m. - 11p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals. On Wednesday September 4,2019 wake service will be held at the Eischen's residence in Little Grand Rapids. Wake service will then be held on Thursday September 5,2019 at the R.C. Mission in Little Grand Rapids.Funeral service will follow on Friday September 6,2019 at 11:00a.m. also from the R.C. Mission, Fr.Arul Savari officiating.Interment Grand Rapids. Pallbearers: Tommy Eischen, Dakota Eischen, Robert Leveque, Adam Baptiste, Stanford Pascal, Cyril Keeper, Colin Meekis, Clifton Keeper.
