Myrlene Murdock Obituary

Peacefully with family by her side at the age of 76 years, Myrlene Murdock of Fairford First Nation went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2019.

Wake service: Thursday May 9, 2019 at 7 PM Fairford house of prayer Fairford, MB.

Funeral service: Friday May 10, 2019 at 12 PM Fairford house of prayer Fairford, MB.

Officiant: Pastor Patrick Anderson, Derek Letandre

Interment Saint Helens Anglican Cemetery Fairford MB. 

Active pallbearers: Elton Murdock, Cody Murdock, Andrew Murdock, Ezra Murdock, Mitchell Lund and Richard Lund.

Cross bearer: Amy Murdock

Honorary Pallbearers: Charlotte Anderson, Maxine Anderson, Shirley Cranford, Louis Bremner, Beatrice Peebles and Doreen Thompson.

 

Peacefully, on May 2, 2019 with her family by her side, Myrlene aged 76 years passed away at Selkirk General Hospital.

Myrlene leaves to mourn her husband Norman and children Jean, Cindy (Rick), Erin (Ken), Steven, Norman (Holly), Amy, Elton (Odette) her grandchildren Mitchell, Richard, Andrew, Jillian, Chelsea, Lori, Samantha, Chloe, Ezra, Angel, Sabrina, Jewel, Hope, Cody, Summer, Colton, Jared and Jackson. Great grand children Urijah, Shawn, Dante, Oscar, Bessie, Hailey (little miracle baby), Suri, Crio, Channing and Sablin.

Her siblings Grace Anderson, Andrew (Charlotte) Anderson, Jean Courchene, Lily Letandre, Bella Anderson (Max), Ruth Woodhouse and Rosemary (Joe) Anderson; son-in-law Randy Strawa.

Myrlene was predeceased by her children Gloria Lund and Burnell Murdock her parents Steve and Harriet Anderson, her in laws Norman and Ellen Murdock, her siblings Charlie Anderson, Clifford Anderson and Annie Thompson, her brother in law Romeo Courchene and Archie Woodhouse and Gordon Letandre.

 

Myrlene was a loving person that was not shy of expressing her love. Myrlene was a hard worker. She was employed at Fairford group home for 12 years as a truant officer and worked with the courts for 10 years. She also worked at the band office and a school bus driver, a caterer and a foster parent.

Myrlene would like to have an honourable mention to Maxine Anderson, Shirley Cranford, Alvina Rundle and Eileen Sinclair who were very special to her and Curtis Woodhouse who was like an adopted son.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Elaine Marsden for the help she has given in this challenging time.

 

The family would also like to thank the palliative care unit at Selkirk Hospital. Thanks to the people that came and paid their respects and condolences and to Pinaymootang First Nation for all their support. We would also like to thank all the people that came to visit our mother.
