Velma Joy Johnson

Velma Joy Johnson returned home to her Lord on Wednesday May 1, 2019, after battling cancer since 2013, she passed peacefully at Health Sciences Centre.

 She had her dear beloved husband Roger Johnson and sister Evelyn Hayden at her bedside. Velma was born on September 2, 1955 to a family of 10. She leaves behind the love or her life, husband Roger Johnson, Sister Evelyn Hayden, and brother Garry Antoine. She had three children Farron Antoine, Nadine Moostoos, and Kyle Moostoos. Also remaining are her nephews and nieces Stewart Hayden, Anthony Antoine, Jarod Hayden, Kayla Hayden, and Pedrina Antoine.

As well as grandchildren, family members, and friends. At her unexpected end, Velma was visited by family and friends, she knew she was loved, and she was filled with the holy spirit. She was a fighter until the very end.

Predeceased by nephews Godfrey Hayden, and Harley McKay.

Wake service will be held from 7 p.m-10 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals 1111 logan Ave. Funeral service will follow on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 1 p.m. also at the chapel. Service will terminate at the chapel.
