Alana Done-Werner Obituary

On Friday March 13, 2020 this beautiful and energetic woman was unexpectedly and tragically taken from us. Alana was full of life and loved by all who knew her as that all too crazy rocker chic that no one could get enough of. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh would pull you in for more of her never-ending charm.

Alana was born November 18, 1968 the same year one of her favourite bands formed; Black Sabbath (as Earth). She was a true heavy metal rock n’ roll chic who loved Iron Maiden. If you look up the description of what is heavy metal, it’s described as loud and powerful sound and that describes Alana to a tee. She may have been tiny but she exuberated energy and personality. As only Alana would want, we’ve added a partial lyric from Iron Maiden to compliment her life story that would make her smile and flash us a “rock on” hand salute.

Liberty and hope divine

Changing water into wine

So to you we bid farewell

Kingdom of heaven to hell

Spirit holy, life eternal

Raise me up take me home

Pilgrim sunrise, pagan sunset

Onward journey begun

We were all so blessed to be part of her life’s journey. She will be lovingly remembered by her Uncle Orville Marshall of Selkirk and Aunt Ruby (Harold) Sandberg of Prince George, BC.
