Bruno Delmar Young

It is with profoundly shattered hearts that the family of Bruno Delmar Young announces his sudden and tragic passing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the tender age of 16.

Born on November 4, 2009, Bruno was the beloved son of Waylon and the late Maryellen Young, and he held a deeply special place in the hearts of his foster parents, Paul and Julie Iwankow. While his loss leaves an unimaginable void, his loved ones find a small measure of comfort knowing he is now reunited with his mother, who passed away just eleven months prior.

Bruno was a bright, energetic light in the lives of his family and friends. Known for his deeply loving, playful, and humorous personality, he had a natural ability to bring joy to those around him. He had a great passion for cars and cherished Sunday night cruising and attending local car shows. When he wasn’t admiring cars, Bruno could often be found relaxing playing video games and creating music. His vibrant spirit and big heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be forever missed and deeply mourned by his father, Waylon Scott; Grandmother Doreen Scott, his devoted grandmother Virgina Thomas; his foster parents Paul and Julie Iwankow; his sisters, Priscilla, Faith, Sarah, and Kaitlin; and his brothers, Shawn-Paul, Tyson, Dominick, Novarro, Lance and Weston. Bruno also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.

A viewing will be held on the evening of Monday July 6, 2026, with a funeral service to honor and celebrate Bruno’s life taking place the following day, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11 am. Both services will be held at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, MB).

Interment to follow at the St. Vital Cemetery.
