Our family is announcing the passing of Cheyenne Constance Pierre, age 43. Also known as Princess, Cheyenne was born and lived in Winnipeg most of her life. She was predeceased by her "stepdad" Simon, her uncles Vic, Ron, Art, Hector, and Les, and her aunt Denise. She was partly named after her maternal grandmother Margaret Constance, who loved her company. Her paternal uncles loved how she reminded them of their mother. She was very caring and would often greet friends and family with hugs.
In her younger days she enjoyed modelling ,travelling to shows in different places all over Canada. She loved to dress to the nines. She took and completed a hairdressing course and liked to do hair for her family and friends.
Cheyenne was very brave in the face of her health issues, and her faith helped her meet the challenge. She kept her Bible and medicines right next to her bed. She will be missed dearly by her son Achilles, ex-partner Anthony, mother Jackie, father Melvin, brothers Kyle, Waylon, and Joe, and many other cousins, uncles, and extended family. There will be a private ceremony by invitation, led by knowledge keeper Peter Atkinson.
Thanks to Chief and Council Roseau River First Nation and Keeseekoowenin.
