Donalee Akhmad (Roulette)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She passed in the arms of our creator at the age of 31 at the St Boniface Hospital with family by her side. Donalee had a dream to be married and her family fulfilled that dream the day of her passing.
Donalee leaves to mourn her husband Samir; her children: daughter Salima and her son Samir, and their father Zouhair; her mother Pauline Bittern (Darryl); her father Nelson Roulette; her grandma Monique Roulette; her sisters Maralee, April (Kevyn), Britney (Joel), Kaylee; brothers Charles (Caitlin), Nelson Jr, Larry, and Jordan; her nephews and nieces, along with all her uncles and aunts from both sides of the family; and many friends who she loved and cherished.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Elijah and Harriet Bittern; grandfather Joseph Roulette; uncles Raymond “Ray” Bittern, and Wayne Roulette.
Donalee was an active and caring woman who spent most of her life thinking of others and her children who she loved and adored. She always surrounded herself with her family and friends especially her mother and sisters, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved.
Acknowledgement and appreciation to the following: St Boniface nursing staff, Berens River First Nation, and family and friends for their numerous support and love during this difficult time.
Pallbearers: Donald Bittern, Samir Akhmad, Zouhair lamouni, Joel Mckay, Charles Roulette, Nelson Roulette
