It is with great sadness that we announce a loving, caring, son, friend, brother, uncle, grandfather, and father Elvis Alexander Turtle Sr. known as “Moggie” passed away at the age of 62 at HSC.
Elvis was born on August 16,1957 at St.Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. He worked at the school for many years as a Janitor/maintenance and bus driver. He also worked on the winter road. Elvis loved fishing, hunting, cooking and family gatherings and he loved his kids and grandchildren.
Elvis is survived by Mom Victoria from Bloodvein, brothers Oswald and Kenneth, Sisters Eileen, Catherine, Delores, sons Elvis Jr., Dominic, Jacob, Presley; daughters Elizabeth, Margarita and 15 grandchildren.
Elvis will join loved ones who passed, grandparents Beatrice Fisher, George Turtle Sr., Uncle William (Buckaroo) McKay,Dad Alexander Turtle, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and grandchildren.
We would like to thank all medical staff who took care of Elvis (Dad), HSC, St. Boniface, Seven Oaks and Selkirk Hospital. We would like to thank Chief & Council for their support.
June 17,2020 wake services will take place at Eternal Grace Funeral Home from 5pm-10pm.
Wake services will continue June 18-19, 2020 at Miskooseepi School Gymnasium in Bloodvein First Nation.
Funeral services to follow on Saturday June 20,2020 at 11am which will be held at the Miskooseepi School Gymnausium. Elvis will be taken to Winnipeg for cremation. Elvis will be laid at his final resting place at a later date.
