Kevin Paul Furlotte

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness we announce the passing of Kevin Paul Furlotte on Monday January 27, 2020 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Kevin was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a child he was adventurous, loved to ride his bike, play baseball and enjoyed camping, fishing and helping his dad with automotive maintenance. After graduating his grade twelve and completing Canadian National Railway training, he moved to Burnaby B.C. where he worked as an engineer for CN. for many years. After leaving the railway he remained in B.C. working many jobs in the landscaping, construction, trucking and shipping trades.

Kevin returned to Thunder Bay and was employed in the hotel and then carnival at Select Shows. Kevin then moved to Winnipeg about 10 years ago to reunite with his family. He then found his “dream job” at Envirotech, he was employed as a Field Service Technician where he has worked for over seven years. His job there involved a lot of road trips and travelling to Alberta and the US which he enjoyed.

Kevin is survived by his sister Barb Towegejick (Leo); his nieces Sabrina Tyson (Dwayne), Brooke Tyson; his great nephews Chance Tremblay (Leeann), Shampayne Tyson, Kaleb Malette; his great nieces Cassandra Tremblay (Stephen), Lacey Lalande, Gracelynn Lebrurn ;and his great great nieces Emma Tremblay, Aria Tremblay; and his great great nephew Kyzer Tremblay. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Paul and Sheena Furlotte, nephew Nelson Towegejick and his great nephew Bryce Tremblay.

Wake service and reception will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2020 from 6pm – 11pm at Eternal Grace Funerals 1111 Logan Ave. (at McPhillips St). Interment at Riverside Cemetery in Thunder Bay at a later date.

Kevin described himself as a hard-working individual with good “People skills” that could make a beneficial contribution to any organization. He was not afraid of hard work or getting his hands dirty.

He was an amazing brother and Uncle. Those who had the privilege of meeting Kevin have been touched and forever changed by his essence of him.
