Landon Boulanger Obituary

Landon Keiran Rey Boulanger

April 7, 2005 – March 16, 2024

It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of our son, brother, and friend Landon Boulanger on March 16, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Landon was born in Winnipeg on April 7th , 2005, and moved with his family throughout Manitoba in his early years. He lived on a farm in Stonewall for some time before spending the latter half of his life back in the city of Winnipeg. Landon attended Maples Collegiate and had recently taken a big step forward in continuing to achieve his secondary education.

Landon was predeceased by his brother Spencer Valiquette, grandfather Albert Simundson (Papa) and grandmother Gloria Young.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Geraldine and father Logan, brothers Dakota and Dwight, and sisters Jerilyn and Aylaa. As well as his former foster grandma Doris (Mama D) and her family. In addition to the numerous brothers and sisters from his father’s side, many aunts, uncles and friends will forever hold Landon in their hearts.

The soul and spirit Landon embodied was one of absolute kindness, beauty, and innocence. He woke up every day wanting to offer all he had to help the people around him. His thoughtful, honest, easy-going self made it effortless for people to adore him. He enjoyed being creative with a pencil and paper. Letting his mind go wild with his imagination; spending hours making origami, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends. His warm, quiet, and shy nature was a haven for every child and friend that walked into Landon’s life. They would always ask about him and looked up to him as a big brother with the coolest personality. Landon was an exceptional child growing up, he took many extracurriculars including swimming classes, volunteered at the 50th Canada Summer Games, attended an electronic technology workshop course at Red River Community College that inspired him to do further research on how to build his own computer and that had been a goal for him since. He played hockey in high school. Landon’s summers were filled with camping trips, travelling across Canada and the U.S., skateboarding, walking to the store for Slurpee's, and going on adventures with his friends and family. Landon excelled at anything he put his mind to, and he was great at playing the euphonium in high school band class as well as other activities that allowed him to be dexterous. He took those skills and applied them at home and enjoyed helping around the house and spending time building his projects.

Our son, brother, and best friend will be deeply missed. Landon’s beautiful smile and joyful laughs will be embedded in our hearts forever. He was a handsome young man with a heart of gold. His loving, goofy and comedic personality was truly one of a kind. He never judged and only wanted what was best for everyone. Landon was loved by all those around him and was always respectful, polite, and forgiving. Although he was finding himself in the last couple years after growing into a young adult, he never swayed from what was most important to him, helping others and being a true gentleman. He was brave and courageous even amidst facing challenges in his life. He worked hard and knew he had the support of everyone around him. We believe our handsome boy was taken home above by our Papa, brother Spencer, and Landon’s beloved cat Louis.
