MARY AGNES BEACH nee SWAN (Blue Thunderbird Woman) born July 16, 1963, left for the Spirit World on November 11, 2023, at the tender age of 60 years old. Surviving Agnes are her daughter Kylene, sons Christopher, Adam (Summer), David, Fletcher, Nick, Jordan (Chasity), grandchildren Gerimiah, Zanaya , Harlem,Zanayah, Zayden, Noah, Luke, Phoenix, Kyle, Jordan, Adam, Angel, Maddy, Brianna, Acelynn, Ann, Sally, sisters Doris Swan, Charlene Swan Beckstead, brothers Calvin Swan,and Ronald Swan ; special nephew Matthew Edwards ; many aunties, uncles, cousins, in-laws, extended family and friends. She was very close to her grandson Geremiah who she cherished and spent many hours with.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Velma Swan, brother David Swan, Sister Eileen Swan, Husband Christopher Beach, Mother In-Law and Father In-Law Anne and Christopher Beach, Uncle Kenny Monkman, Uncle Ronald Monkman, Grandchild Zadence Cook and many other relatives.
Agnes will be remembered for her humor, laughter, and her beautiful smile. In life, she was very protective and caring and enjoyed taking part in the Traditional Culture. She would often talk about fasting in St Laurent in the sweat lodge, cleaning a whole cedar tree and how therapeutic it was, and how green her hands were when she was done. She also enjoyed going to sweats and talked about how good it made her feel.
Growing up, she was the pillar in her family and would take care of her younger siblings. She was their second mother. She always told her loved ones how much she loved them. As a young adult, she had fun with her many friends and was a social butterfly. She loved singing Karaoke, and her favorite song was Stand By Me by Ben E. King. She was also very intelligent and a strong advocate for Human Rights.
Wake services will be on Wednesday November 22, 2023, at 7:30-10:30. Funeral will be on Thursday November 23, 2023 at 12:00pm (Noon). Both services will be at Eternal Grace Funerals located at 10-1111 Logan Avenue, Winnipeg MB with Elaine Mayham officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Interment will take place in Lake Manitoba First Nation – Date TBA
