Mary Linda Henderson

The family are announcing the passing of Mary Linda Henderson (nee: Boubard) on May 30,2020 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her husband Andre, her only son Jonathan and sister Sandi (Denis) many nephews and nieces, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her father Wilfred in 1975; sister Bernadette in 1979; brother Larry in 2013; mother Antoinette in 2015; brother Dennis in 2018; and brother Henry in 2019.

Linda is from Pine Falls, Manitoba/ Sagkeeng First Nation. In 1972 Linda and her mother Antoinette made history in the community of Sagkeeng First Nation by being the first mother-daughter team of aboriginal status to be employed as nurses at the Pine Falls Hospital. She then moved to Winnipeg and eventually retired. In her later years Linda became a hockey Mom, watched Bomber games and Jets games and other sports games on TV. Linda highly valued education. She developed many relationships with students and staff at the literacy program close to where she lived. Linda practiced a strong faith, and we are consoled that she is now home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Cremation has taken place and a wake service will be held on Wednesday June 3,2020 at Eternal Grace Funerals. Service will follow on Thursday June 4,2020 also at the chapel. For times and more information call Jonathan at 204-951-4214
