Special thanks to the staff at Eternal Grace Funeral Home for all of their continuous support and compassion towards the family during this difficult time.

Leaving to mourn his loss is his mother Alma Ducharme, his father Ronald Catcheway, his children Dakota, Freedom, Faith and baby Tara. His brothers Bradley (Colleen); Kevin; and their baby sister Rhonda Ducharme. Also leaving to mourn is Ronald’s koko Lizzie Ducharme, his aunts and uncles; his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, including his numerous cousins and many friends.

Ronald was born in Winnipeg Manitoba and grew up in the cities’ West End. He had a lot of friends whom he considered his brothers and sisters. He valued those friendships and was a very loyal friend. His sudden passing has left many of his family and friends devastated and heartbroken. When we are sad we will remember his sense of humor and how he liked to laugh and joke around. Ronald was a skillful guy who liked his bling and was an exceptional entrepreneur.

Ronald was a resilient big tall man with heart. He was an ambitious brave person who stood up and protected those he loved and was close to. And in that closeness, Ronald’s love for his children and family was significantly deep and limitless.

For those of us who had the opportunity to witness the caring and compassionate side to him, we saw a sensitive man with struggles and a lot of pain from his losses. His love for his mother was unconditional. He confided in her and at every opportunity he told his mother that he loved her and would kiss her on the cheek.

Ronald enjoyed listening to various genres of music, which he could connect to, finding comfort in the lyrics of those songs. He was not shy to sing aloud and was very outspoken. Ronald enjoyed family gatherings such as Birthdays’ and Christmas. He especially liked the feasts held with his family.

Ronald had strong faith. He believed in the Creator and was interested in learning about the Anishinaabe Culture. During the final weeks of Ronald’s life he shared with his family that he believed that somewhere in the sky he would be reunited with his daughter Crissie-girl and her mother Tara.

Ronald was predeceased by his sister Crystal, his grandfather Harold Ducharme; his baby daughter Crystal (Crissie-girl); his wife Tara Harper; his grandmother Annie and aunt Mildred Catcheway. His brother in law Justin Piche; his first cousins James-Hank, Jake, Jolene, Thomas, and Jesse. His aunt Madeline (Gogirly); his uncles Ronald (Ducharme); and Alex (Bad-baby) Ducharme
